Come and enjoy the only real bicycle tour around the City of Cusco!
This tour will show us the essence of the former Inca capital, its typical streets, its most common places and sights. From the local markets, the ancient Inca walls, the main football stadium, to the historical center with its main plaza and churches – be prepared for a fun ride around town, an exciting journey through Andean history and culture, and get a taste of the delicious Peruvian cuisine.
ITINERARY
Wanchaq Market
One of the bigger local markets in Cusco, with exotic fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, flowers and other typical Peruvian products. A wonderful place to explore and get a delicious fresh juice as a start of the day.
Football Stadium - Estadio Garcilaso
Just like all over South America, people are crazy about football in Peru as well. The two main clubs of Cusco - Real Garcilaso and Cienciano - play their home games in this stadium. It is currently being rebuilt and modernized and will host up to 45.000 people.
Avenida de la Cultura - Condor Apuchin statue
One of Cusco's biggest avenues brings us down to the statue of Condor Apuchin. The condor in the Andean mythology symbolizes the guardian of the world of the gods. From this point on we start our climb into the historical city center.
San Blas
This traditional and bohemian part of Cusco is probably the most beautiful and picturesque neighborhood. We stop at the fountain on Plazoleta de San Blas, take our time for some nice pictures, and continue our tour.
Plaza de Armas & Historical Center
Established by the Spanish conquerors, Plaza de Armas ever since has been the main square of Cusco. You can find La Catedral de Cusco, the main cathedral, as well as many restaurants and cafés there. Furthermore, you can have an amazing view on Cristo Blanco, the White Christ statue high above the city. We continue our ride through the narrow streets of the historical center, with its typical colonial houses, many of which were built on original Inca wall foundations.
San Pedro Market
The oldest agricultural market of the city, San Pedro Market offers a vast variety of local products. Here we take a fresh juice and a typical meal.
Finish at the Plaza
We finish at Plaza de Armas with a group picture and a Peruvian beer to say "cheers" and celebrate our successful city tour.
